About
I am a scholar and cultural organizer. I hold an MA in Cultural Heritage (Humanities Dept. of Cà Foscari, University of Venice) and a PhD in Visual Cultures (Visual Cultures Dept., Goldsmiths, University of London).
I held teaching positions in the Dept. of Visual Cultures at Goldsmiths, in the Dept. of Humanities at The City and Guilds London Art School and I worked for three years as docent at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Venice (Italy).
I am founder and research board member of InC, research group in continental philosophy, based at the Graduate School, Goldsmiths. As author and curator some of my projects have taken place in London, Venice (A+A Gallery), Valencia, Damascus, New York (The Rider Project), Istanbul (The Apartment Project), Tangiers (Cinematheque de Tanger), Palermo (French Institute, Goethe Institute, CSC), Berlin (HKW) and Bangalore (MAP - Reloading Images).
I am co-director at Reloading Images, ngo for cultural research and artistic production based in Berlin and Trento. I am currently Lecturer in Film and Media Studies at Yasar University, Izmir (Turkey).
My research interests include film-philosophy, documentary cinema and the essay film, critical theory and continental philosophy, the work of Pier Paolo Pasolini.
